Graphite-based shell and tube heat exchangers combine the universal corrosion resistance and high temperature operation (up to 200¢J - certified by TÜV). Graphite tubes reinforced with carbon fiber have increased bursting strength from 30% to 40% improving its resistance to hammering and pressure shock. In the event of sudden increase in pressure resulting in the cracking of the graphite tubes, the carbon fiber ensures no leakage of liquid; thus removing the need to shut down the system.
